Digital Citizenship: Activity 3 Digital Footprint


Digital Footprint
Is basically everything on the internet that is about you! 
Sometimes content about you may be viewed by people you don’t know. Your digital footprint may include photos, audio, videos, blog posts, posts you write on friends’ walls. Like all information on the internet, it can be permanent. 
Remember: Internet information has a global audience


Revisit the 4Rs - emphasized in SST
  • R1 - Respect
  • R2 - Responsibility
  • R3 - Relationship
  • R4 - Reflection
Apply the 4Rs in cyber space.

  18. (a) Since they are all teenagers like us, we can definitely relate to this. In our tenneager stage, we tend to use social media more often yet unaware of the dangers online waiting for us. This video teaches us the consequences of revealing all out information and why we shouldn't do it.

    (b) People are unaware anyone on the internet can look at their information, and only think that their friends are looking at it.

    (c) Through social media, where most people look at. Newspaper, radio, or television are other effective ways of spreading the message.

    b) They think they are safe as long as they do not tell strangers that about their data they are fine, but as long as something is on the internet, nothing is private.

    b)They think that the information they release online is harmless, but when stalkers get hold of this information, they can use it for their advantage

  23. (a) This lesson is relevant to life as we do not know who sees our profile and the fact that there can be someone stalking us online. It makes me mindful of that I need to be sensitive of what content I upload online and to not reveal any personal information online.
    (b) People are usually not aware as they do not think of the dangers of putting their information on the internet as they think that it is a way to get closer to their friends.
    (c) Sharing around videos like this can increase awareness in people on these dangers.
